Description:                                                                                   With the trend toward more environmentally responsible building materials, the construction industry has seen an increase in moisture related failures of flooring materials installed on concrete slabs on grade. Preventing vapor diffusion has become increasingly important to prevent emulsifying of VOC-compliant water based adhesives for floor coverings.

The presentation will cover the basic science principles concerning vapor drive through concrete slab floor assemblies, will explain various modes of failure, and will suggest solutions to prevent costly floor finish failures.
